Five Candidates File for Hubbard City Council
Three incumbents and two challengers will compete for seats on the Hubbard City Council this May.
Five candidates have filed to run for the Hubbard City Council, the city confirmed on Monday.
Diana Hall, Hubbard's City Secretary, provided the candidate list in response to an inquiry after the filing deadline passed last Friday.
The Candidates
Three incumbents are seeking to retain their seats:
- Kenneth Baldwin
- Simone Johnson
- Wayne Taylor
Two challengers have also filed:
- Carol Brim
- Cody Newman
What's on the Ballot
The three seats are part of Hubbard's five-member City Council. Mayor Mary Alderman and the remaining two aldermen, Brandon Ivy and Roger Lynch, are not up for election this cycle.
The general election is scheduled for May 2.
